I had the pleasure of meeting Shelley and Alex at a portrait photography session event I did at the Jewish Community Center in San Francisco when Alex was a baby. Soon after they came to my studio bringing along daddy Dustin, and we had such a fun time capturing Alex’s plentiful smiles. We made an adorable book of Alex’s baby session images, and after a couple of years I noticed on facebook that Shelley was pregnant again with another boy!! We waited just long enough til he was the same age as Alex’s session, and then they came to the studio! Seeing Alex so grown up is amazing, and meeting his little brother was just a joy! We faced adversity (it was early evening – not a good time for toddlers and babies, and something like 100 degrees at the studio…) and we jumped around, laughed, bounced and cajoled the boys into a great session!! On this Fourth of July weekend, I wanted to share a couple of my favorites so that daddy can see them too! He’s off serving our country in the reserves, and I send my gratitude to him and all the others! Here’s some family portraits!

Oh my gosh… when this lil’ cowboy’s parents brought him in and I saw this hat, I knew… I just knew that this session would be completely adorable! It’s been 4 months since this little guy was born, and this is the third time he’s been in front of my lens already! (smart parents and Watch Me Grow program = a year of fantastic photo memories!) I just love this image… LOVE it! Enjoy, and don’t forget to have your darling cowboys and cowgirls photographed often in their first year… it’s amazing to have a chronicle of how they change and grow!

One of the things I always love is capturing images of the families that grow out of my wedding photography business! It makes me so happy to continue to be your family photographer throughout the many phases of family life! Often friends of my couples are starting or growing their families at the same time, and my clients have so kindly referred many of their friends to me to become their family photographers as well! Recently a family that is friends with two of my wonderful clients came in to bring their brand new baby boy and their adorable daughter to enter my Watch Me Grow program! I know that having a new baby in a family is an exciting time for all, but often the big brother or big sister needs a little extra attention too, since Mom and Dad have to take care of the new little one! This special girl got to wear my special fairy princess dress at the end of the session, and she was just perfect! I’ll share more later of her adorable baby brother, but she is getting her own post!

Just Added! Renegade has been invited to be a part of next weekend’s World Photography Festival in San Fran. Our “Racy, Red, Renegade boudoir workshop” will be held Saturday, November 20, starting at 10:15am.

Babies, babies! I just luv them! Especially when I have known their parents through their engagement, wedding and marriage! Little Miss Lily visited me for the second time in the studio (the first time was for her mommy’s maternity session when she was still cozy in the belly!) What a smiley, happy, adorable baby!!! Her parents are completely in love, and so am I! I am so glad they are a member of my Watch Me Grow plan so I will see her on regular intervals through her first year and beyond! Oh, how I love a happily ever after… this baby is soooooo loved, and cherished by all of us who know her, especially her mommy and daddy! Her newborn photography session was a joyous day, and look how much she has grown!!! She’s just so super smiley, and it’s always great to see her and her mommy!! Oh, Mel, you are not gonna believe these photos… oh, well, you probably WILL believe them because you live with Ellie, and see how cute she is every day… mwah! Big hugs and kisses!

Sophia was just crawling the first time I photographed her and her family last year… my how time flies! She just had her first birthday, and is as cute as ever! We had a blast with the tu-tus and she LOVED her cake!

I could say it a million times, baby portraits in my San Carlos studio are such a joy! I will have a blog post for each of these babies (oh, how they have grown!) but first, here’s one of all of them together! (no small feat at 4PM when the afternoon crankies can sneak into the sweetest of babies!) Their mommies are all the best of friends, and I have photographed each of their weddings over the years, and as fate would have it, they all have wonderful sweet babies in their arms these days, who I am sure will love growing up together!

It’s so hard to believe that I photographed Michelle & Patrick’s wedding almost 4 years ago… and I was thrilled to hear from Michelle that they had a baby girl back in October! Today was the day I got to see Michelle and meet Audrey, and she couldn’t be cuter! She’s got her mommy’s grace (and that of her namesake, Audrey Hepburn!) and she looks so much like her daddy too! Here are just a couple of teasers for you guys!! Really looking forward to sharing them all with you soon!!

Clarence & Avigail’s wedding was the first one I photographed after the birth of my son, Josh… I brought my trusty associates, Jill and Shannon, and we set off for a beautiful day! Their wedding was beautiful, and their families were great to meet! And now, they are expecting their little boy in mid May. I was so happy to see them at the studio today, and as always, they are adorably glowing with love for each other, and their little creation! Thanks so much guys for sharing your growing family with me – I can’t wait til the little guy is born! Don’t forget to call me right away! Thanks also for indulging me in wrapping you up in stuff… I can’t wait to share all the images, but here’s one for now! big hugs, and take it easy!!
