Oh… I love perfect days like yesterday! Nasim and Paul got married at
Nestldown in the Los Gatos Mountains (away from the terrible fires…)
When I first met Nasim and Paul, we all felt an instant connection. They had met with some other photographers, and then their wonderful wedding coordinator,
Jean Marks, suggested they come see me. It is really awesome to work with Jean on a wedding! She makes the day flow, takes care of everything, and is a great joy to be around! We all agreed that we just adored Nasim and Paul, and love their cuddly and fun nature as a couple! Here’s a postcard from the forest… I can’t wait to share the rest of the images from the day with Nasim and Paul and their wonderful families!
Besides the exceptional Nestldown staff, the other vendors were: Forals & Decor byKaren Baba of
Plan Decor (amazing work – made everything even more beautiful!); Hair and Makeup by Farzana (Nasim is already beautiful, but she looked as pretty as can be!), Music by
Benny Be Productions (wow! the music for the ceremony, and the Persian Dance music was the BEST!), Delectible food by
Continental Caterers (mmmm, everything was yummy and beautifully presented!)
There are a lot of new products cropping up at Cottage Industry, our latest venture into providing exceptional and innovative ways to showcase imagery in your life!
Here’s a sneak peek at a couple of pages of our upcoming catalog, just in time for Father’s Day and Graduation gifts! For more details, please contact the studio!

We have been coming to Lake Tahoe for 5 or 6 years now, and it is so wonderful to share the tradition as a family! I am so lucky to be spending time with these guys!!
Hot off the old printing press, here’s another postcard… These vintage cards are now available for wedding announcements, thank-you cards, baby announcements or for a fun and different way to display your images in a frame or book…
I have a travel bug lately it seems… It’s gorgeous here, and the weather has been perfect! A little work, a little play – a little artwork to share from Nicole and Miguel’s wedding that I am processing while I am here… Enjoy!
I just love how she’s peeking out before she walks down the aisle!
When couples interview me they always ask, “what happens if you can’t make it, or if your second shooter gets sick?” Luckily, most of my friends are professional photographers as well, and we all try to “have each other’s back” whenever we’re needed. I had the pleasure of filling in with one such colleague, Jen Kloss Heffner, on April 19 when her second shooter became ill at the last minute. Lucky Sarah & Eric ended up with two main shooters instead, and the images are just awesome! They got married at the beautiful Palm Event Center, and I was thrilled to be a part of such a lovely day! They had a cigar roller, which was super cool (and great for photos!)
Here are a couple of my favorites from the day…
Moms Rule! Portrait sessions and and gift certificates make great gifts for all the moms in your life!
Jessica & Ross were married on a warm August day in Woodside in 2005. Jessica chose bright cheery colors, and when she and Ross saw each other that day, her smile was bright as stars!
This February they welcomed their little girl, Emilia Marie, to the family, and today I got to meet her!! Such a cutie pie!! Thanks for bringing her in!!
From later in the evening…

Nicole and Miguel’s wedding weekend was, in a word, AWESOME! We had such a good time with everyone, and it was such an honor to meet all the extended family and friends as we covered this amazing event! Many thanks for giving us such beauty and love to work with!!
